Hypnotherapist Helps People Stuck In “Winter Blues”

The darker days, holiday stress and a pandemic impacting everyone's lives, the winter blues are hitting many hard. One hypnotherapist is helping people who are stuck in the winter doldrums bust through!

Therapeutic Coach & Master Hypnotherapist Mark D. Lakowske hails from Sparta, WI. He works with individuals one on one at his office in Onalaska, and trains thousands of practitioners around the world. Currently he is helping individuals with their winter blues and giving back to the community with his “Winter Blues Buster” program. He facilitates a four-session group hypnosis/coaching event offered once or twice a season via zoom.

The people who participate in this group feel better with what Mark offers their minds. And their hearts are warmed as well, knowing they contributed to making other people’s season brighter too. Mark uses 20% of each ticket price to purchase essentials for local donation.

Mark designed this popular “Winter Blues Buster” program to help people move quicker and better through the impact of the changing season. He aims to change a person's outlook on the winter months, thus changing how they feel. Gain new resources and perspective, attain more confidence and determination, refocus themselves in the present moment, and reconnect with their own resilience!

Mark states, "If you live in the Midwest you know that life is stressful during these cold months. More than other times of the year, many people get sad, unmotivated, anxious and want to pull the covers up over their heads -- and that’s on a normal good year! But, our minds can work for us in a powerful way. When we can get back to the states of hope, acceptance and understanding then we can really move forward with our lives again - despite this seasonal obstacle. It’s important to recognize that the feelings people experience are normal. They are okay to have, but as I always say, do you want to visit the ditch or do you want to pull in furniture, put up wallpaper and live there? If you don’t want to live there, then there are certain proven strategies that can help people move forward again, rather than be stuck. That’s my goal when I work with people.”

"I’d encourage anyone who is feeling down, stressed or anxious, whether they are directly affected by the winter blues or not to download my incredible 7 step guide to help you feel less stuck in the problem and see if it helps.” He offered. The free guide can be accessed from any computer or device. “It helps most people regain a sense of balance and focus. It’s all about relaxing your mind, honestly going inward to find the answers that are there and changing the negative and replacing it with calm understanding to gain a more positive feeling or situation.”

Mark also advises people to express their emotions, so they can be “pushed out” rather than bottled up inside. “Stress has many repercussions. One is the potential impact on mental health and wellbeing as people try to manage an increasingly stressful situation, and if I can help ease that stress, I believe it’s worthwhile doing so.”
